Decided to try this for a small space. Works perfectly and looks very realistic. It needed a LOT of shaping out of the box but this was easy to do (handled with garden gloves on--just like a real spruce!). Easy to decorate, also, since all the branches are wired and can be tweaked to allow room for ornaments to hang nicely. One negative I might note is that it is not very green--looks a bit like a spruce tree suffering from lack of water--so if you want intense holiday green, this is not for you. The base is also very light and needs a flat surface. (I put mine in a terracotta pot to add stability.) It is sturdily made and seems like it should last many years with proper storage.
I ordered three sizes of these trees and they are lovely. Beautifully made and look very substantial. I haven't set them up yet since it's a while before Christmas....but really looking forward to it.
