The Story

Nature's Architecture

A graceful trunk and a broad, airy canopy that fills the room without crowding it.

Premium leaf coverage from top to bottom, on a tree designed to stand alone or anchor a grouping. Ships compact and shapes in minutes: no leaf drop, no leggy growth chasing the window, no sticky sap on the floor.

The Details

Premium Leaf Coverage, Top to Bottom

Small, oval, slightly cupped leaves, just like a real ficus benjamina. The color varies naturally from deep forest green to a lighter spring tone at the tips, creating the dappled, sun-kissed look of a healthy tree.

Close-up of the trunk showing realistic bark texture and branching

All the Character of a Grown Trunk

The trunk is sculpted with genuine bark texture, knots, and branching that give the tree an organic, grown-not-manufactured quality. It splits into graceful limbs that support the full, layered canopy above.

A Canopy That Fills the Room

The dome-shaped canopy spans roughly 26 inches wide, creating genuine presence without overwhelming the space. Branches are flexible and shapeable: spread them for a fuller look, or tuck them in for a tighter silhouette. The shape is yours to set.

The Light Question

Real Ficus vs. Faux Ficus

Real ficus trees are famously dramatic about light. Move one six inches and it drops half its leaves. Here's the honest comparison.

Real Ficus Benjamina

Needs bright, indirect light: at least 6 hours daily
Drops leaves dramatically when moved or stressed
Sensitive to drafts, temperature changes, and dry air
Prone to spider mites and scale insects
Sap can irritate skin and stain floors

Petals Faux Ficus

Place anywhere: dark hallway, interior room, windowless office
Move it as often as you like, no leaf drop, ever
Thrives in any temperature, any humidity, any season
No pests, no sap, no mess

The Right Base

A Base Made for This Tree

Every Greenhouse Ficus arrives potted in its liner, ready for the container you choose. Order a decorative container with your tree and Petals pre-foams it to fit that liner exactly. The tree and its base each arrive in their own carton: unbox both, seat the tree in its base, and it's done. An off-the-shelf planter can hold a tree. Our pre-fitted planters hold your faux tree like they were made for each other, because they are.

Petals for Business

One Tree per Lobby, Every Lobby the Same

Hotels, offices, restaurants, co-working spaces, senior living: wherever greenery has to look right without a maintenance contract. Order the Greenhouse Ficus by the lobby or by the property — same full canopy, same bark-textured trunk, no watering crew, no leaf drop, no replacement cycle.

Consistent across every location. Every tree ships identical — same leaf density, same color, same shape. No greenhouse variation, no seasonal gaps.
No maintenance infrastructure. No plant service contract, no watering schedule, no pest treatment, no replacement budget. Dust it once a month.
Buy once, place forever. A real ficus in a dark lobby lasts months. This one lasts as long as the lease.

Ready to order? Add it to your cart above. One tree or a dozen ships the same way. Furnishing several rooms, or not sure which height suits the space? We are glad to help: email service@petals.com or call 1-800-783-9966.

Questions

FAQ

What heights does the Greenhouse Ficus come in?

This faux ficus tree comes in three heights: 5 feet, 6 feet and 7 feet. You are looking at the 5 foot ficus tree. All three share the same full, top-to-bottom leaf coverage, so the choice is about your ceiling height and the space you want the tree to fill.

How does the tree ship and how long does setup take?

It ships compact, with the branches packed close to the trunk in a smaller carton, then shapes in minutes following the instructions enclosed with every tree. You bend the branches out into the canopy you want.

Do I need to buy a container?

The tree arrives potted in a plain plastic liner, so you can use a container you already own. If you buy a decorative container from us, we foam the tree into it so it stands securely. The tree and the container ship in separate cartons; you seat the tree in its pre-foamed base.

What is the trunk made of?

The trunk is molded synthetic with bark texture, which is why every tree looks the same and none will crack, shed or attract pests. Keep it indoors, out of direct sun and heat.
